File Inspector
Schema, bbox, measure totals, attribute table, and map preview for a local layer.
Documentation
GIS Toolbox is a browser-only GIS workbench. Files stay on your device; processing runs in JavaScript and WebAssembly. Start with Inspect or the Tool Matrix, or open a dedicated tool below.

Four entry points cover most work. Pick one, then open the matching tool.
Schema, bbox, measures, attribute table, and map preview before you convert or analyze.
Tool Matrix pairs an operation with an input format, then exports in a preset format.
Build a local recipe, reuse templates, and share with a #wf= URL hash.
GeoTIFF inspect, crop, reproject, bands, and chainable #rwf= raster workflows.
Workflow
Fourteen tools run end-to-end in the browser. Pick a path below, add local data, run the tool, then download the result.
Open Tools for the hub, or jump to a tool in the catalog below.
Upload or paste data locally. GIS processing is not uploaded to a server.
Prefer WGS84 / EPSG / UTM unless you need an optional regional CRS.
Run the tool (or chain steps in Workflow / Raster Workflow), then download.
Catalog
Fourteen first-class tools. Each page runs end-to-end in the browser.
Buffer, intersect, union, difference, and dissolve GeoJSON polygons
Browse GIS operations by task and file format
Measure distances and areas on map with great-circle distance calculation
Measure distances and areas on 3D globe with terrain and imagery switching
Inspect attributes, geometry types, bbox, and schema
Pick coordinates, switch basemaps/CRS, and search locations
Merge and split GeoJSON data with batch processing support
Compress GeoJSON and TopoJSON files to reduce file size and optimize performance
Guides
Start here for the most common workflows:
Convert a ZIP or many files to one target format in the browser.

Reference articles for regional datums you may encounter in some datasets:
Constraints
Hard limits and privacy defaults. Read these before large batch runs.
Most single-file tools accept about 100 MB per file (Inspector, format convert, spatial, data tools, GeoTIFF).
Batch Convert enforces a 100 MB total across all selected files in one run.
GIS files are not uploaded for processing. Work stays in your browser session.
Privacy Policy →Optional analytics load only after you accept cookies. Decline keeps the product fully usable without them.
Workbench
How the deeper surfaces fit together once you leave a one-shot converter.
Schema, bbox, measure totals, attribute table, and map preview for a local layer.
Pick an operator and input format, run in Tool Runner, then download in a preset export format.
Chain vector steps locally. Share with #wf= in the URL. Templates and a local recipe library are included.
#wf=
Inspect, crop, reproject, and band tools, plus chainable #rwf= raster workflows.

Reference
Defaults stay global-first. Regional datums and raster tools are available when you need them.
Paste lon,lat (or lat, lon) points, or import CSV / Excel / JSON. Failed rows are reported; bad coordinates are not kept silently.
GCJ-02 and BD-09 remain available in the engine for regional data. They are optional—defaults and SEO stay on WGS84 / EPSG / UTM.
All format conversion runs locally in your browser.
Single-file conversion accepts about 100 MB. For many files, use Batch Convert (100 MB total per run). Very large layers may be slow in the browser.
GeoTIFF and other raster workflows live under GeoTIFF Tools, not the vector Format Converter.
SuperMap UDB/UDBX is not supported. Export to GeoJSON or Shapefile first.
WebMCP
GIS Toolbox registers sixteen tools for AI browser agents via WebMCP. Agents call the same local GIS path as the UI—your files are not uploaded for processing.
