The service
GIS Toolbox is a free, browser-based collection of GIS utilities including coordinate conversion, file format conversion, measurement, and map exploration. The service is provided at no cost.
Browser-side processing
All processing happens in your browser. We do not accept uploads of your data to a server, and we are not a data processor for the files you convert.
Accuracy disclaimer
Coordinate conversions are based on published algorithms and may differ from official survey transforms by several meters or more. GIS Toolbox is provided for convenience and is not a certified surveying or legal-metrology tool. Always verify critical results against authoritative sources before relying on them for surveying, navigation, legal, or safety-critical work.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for unlawful purposes. The service may change or be discontinued at any time without notice.
Intellectual property
GIS Toolbox is open source under the MIT License. Third-party libraries retain their respective licenses. Content you process remains yours.
Limitation of liability
GIS Toolbox is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and operators are not liable for any damages arising from the use of or inability to use the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
